NetBird
NetBird is an open-source project from Berlin. It connects devices via WireGuard and controls access centrally through identities and policies – nothing is reachable unless a rule allows it.

RustDesk
RustDesk is open-source remote support software. With your own ID and relay server, every connection runs through your infrastructure. For central management we use the Pro edition.

Do we still need a traditional VPN?
In most cases, no. NetBird replaces the VPN and only exposes the systems a person actually needs.
Is RustDesk free?
The open-source server is free. For teams with central user management, SSO and audit logs we recommend RustDesk Server Pro, licensed by users and devices.
